These are the yummiest. Some people will call this a Texas Sheet Cake, one aunt calls it a Sheath Cake- Who cares what the name is - these are GOOD.


2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
½ t. Salt
1 Stick Oleo
1 Cup Water
½ Cup Crisco Oil
¼ Cup Cocoa
½ Cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 t. Soda
1 t. Vanilla


Frosting:
1 Stick Oleo
¼ Cup Cocoa
? Cup Buttermilk
1 Lb. Powdered Sugar
1 t. Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
1 Cup Pecans


1.Preheat Oven to 400°

2. Spray Pam in 18 x 11 Jelly Roll Pan

3. Mix Flour, Sugar and Salt in a bowl

4. Bring Oleo, Water, Oil and Cocoa to a boil and add to dry mixture

5. Add the Buttermilk, Eggs, Soda and Vanilla

6. Bake for 20 minutes.

Frosting: Melt Oleo, add other ingredients one at a time. Mix until smooth and spread on warm cake.


Yields: 20 servings
