A funny name for such a light little cookie. These are always fun for kids to help make.

1½ Cups Sugar
1 Cup Criso
2 Eggs
2¾ Cup Flour
2 t. Cream of Tartar
1 t. Baking Soda
½ t. Salt

Cinnamon and Sugar for rolling

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. Cream Sugar, Crisco and Eggs till light and fluffy

3. Add Flour, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda and Salt to creamed mixture, beat till well blended

4. Form into balls and roll in a mixture of Cinnamon and Sugar.

5. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or just till the cracks appear dry

Let your children help you cook but especially bake whenever you can. it teaches them so much.  My son  learned to count measuring flour with me in the business. I have taught a number of children to bake- running the mixer is so much fun for them.
